NEW DELHI: When the business reported an 8% year-over-year gain in group global wholesales, including that of Jaguar Land Rover, its shares of Tata Motors rose more than 5% on Monday (JLR).
On the BSE, the stock increased 5.37 percent to close at Rs 461.05 a share. It soared 8.12% during the day to Rs 473.10.
It increased 5.31% to close at Rs 460.90 a share on the NSE.
It was the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty stock that gained the most.
The company’s market value increased by Rs 7,807.53 crore to Rs 1,53,130.58 crore.
The fourth quarter of FY23 saw an increase in group global wholesales of 8% year over year, including JLR, according to a report released by Tata Motors on Friday.
In the period from January to March of this year, wholesale sales of all Tata Motors commercial vehicles as well as the Tata Daewoo lineup increased by 3% to 1,18,321 units, compared to the same time in FY22.
JLR reported 1,07,386 vehicles sold worldwide in the March quarter, including 15,499 Jaguar units and 91,887 Land Rover units.
