Shares of Aptus Value Housing Finance India Ltd plunged nearly 9% in early trade on Tuesday, June 3, after a large block deal rattled investor sentiment. Approximately 3.71 crore shares, or 7.44% equity, changed hands in a deal worth ₹1,141 crore, executed at ₹307 per share — a notable discount to the previous closing price of ₹336.50.

According to CNBC-TV18, private equity firm Westridge Investments was reportedly offloading up to 9.8% stake in the housing finance company.

Despite the drop, Aptus recently posted strong Q4 results for FY25. Its net profit rose 26% YoY to ₹207 crore, while loan disbursements increased 10% to ₹1,064 crore. The company’s AUM also expanded 25% to ₹10,865 crore, and it added 38 new branches, bringing its total to 300 locations.

At 10:46 IST, Aptus recorded trading volume of 147.7 lakh shares on the BSE — a massive 482x jump over its two-week average daily volume of 30,644 shares.
