In a landmark victory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has secured a third consecutive term, leading the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to a decisive win in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Global Congratulations

Italy’s Giorgia Meloni congratulated PM Modi on the NDA’s victory. In a post on X, written in Italian, she expressed her belief that Italy and India would continue to collaborate to “strengthen the friendship that unites” the two nations. PM Modi responded by thanking her for the warm wishes.

“Congratulations to @narendramodi on the new electoral victory and my warmest wishes for good work. Certain that we will continue to work together to strengthen the friendship that unites Italy and India and consolidate cooperation on the various issues that bind us, for the well-being of our nations and our people,” she said in the post.

Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ extended their congratulations to PM Modi on his third consecutive electoral victory. They both expressed their eagerness to work closely with him to further strengthen bilateral relations.

“I extend my warmest felicitations to the BJP-led NDA on its victory demonstrating the confidence of the Indian people in the progress and prosperity under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi,” the Sri Lankan president wrote on X.

Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu congratulated PM Modi and expressed his eagerness to strengthen bilateral ties. “Congratulations to Prime Minister @narendramodi and the BJP-led NDA on their third consecutive term in the 2024 Indian General Election,” he stated.

Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay also congratulated PM Modi and the NDA on their historic win and expressed his anticipation for close cooperation.

“Congratulations to my friend PM @narendramodi ji and NDA for the historic 3rd consecutive win in the world’s biggest elections. As he continues to lead Bharat to great heights, I look forward to working closely with him to further strengthen the relations between our 2 countries,” he wrote on X.

The U.S. lauded the Indian government and its citizens for successfully conducting the Lok Sabha elections. State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller commended India for managing the extensive electoral process.

The BJP, campaigning under PM Modi’s leadership, secured or led in 240 seats, becoming the largest party in the 543-member Lok Sabha.
