Dividend Stock 2023: The second interim dividend of 4 per equity share to eligible shareholders has been approved by the board of directors of EID Parry (India). The board of the sugar firm set the record date for the EID Parry dividend as April 21, 2023. For payment of a $5.50 per share interim dividend in the fiscal year 2022–2023, this over 225-year-old firm had traded ex-dividend in November 2022.

“The Board of Directors of the Company met today (April 10, 2023) and approved the payment of Second Interim Dividend for the financial year 2022–23 at Rs.4/- (Four rupees only) per share, representing 400%, on the equity share of face value of Re.1/– each fully paid,” the leading sugar company reported to Indian stock market bourses.
The sugar firm added, “The Record Date for the Purpose of Payment of Interim Dividend shall be April 21, 2023,” to the EID Parry dividend record date.
In regards to shares held in physical form and in the case of shares held in dematerialized form, the Interim Dividend shall be paid to those shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members of the Company as on the Record Date, as per the details to be furnished by the Depositories as on the Record Date. In accordance with the 2013 Companies Act, the interim dividend will be paid on or after May 3, 2023, but no later than 30 days after the date of declaration.
History of EID Parry dividends
This second interim dividend of 4 per share for the fiscal year 2022–23 was announced by EID Parry on Monday. The last time, this top sugar stock had traded ex-dividend on November 22, 2022, for payment of a $5.50 interim dividend in fiscal year (FY) 23. Previous to this, the sugar stock had already gone ex-dividend on March 10, 2022, for the payment of an interim dividend of $5.50 per share.
