Stock Market Holidays 2025
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain operational on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025, as per their official holiday calendars. While this day often raises questions among traders, it is not listed as a trading holiday.
Market Timings on January 1, 2025
- Pre-Open Trading: 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM
- Regular Trading: 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM
All segments, including equity, derivatives, and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB), will operate as usual. However, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will close for the evening session at 5 PM.
